Fathers and Mothers work hard to earn the money and many students do not want their parents spending that much money to get an education.There are scholarships, grants and financial aid available but that does not help everyone.A middle class family cannot fully afford a child going to a 4-year college and make a living, which is comfortably in residence.Colleges need to be more affordable, obtaining funds less stressful, and colleges must enact policies that condone these principles.According to the New York Times article by Steve Cohen, the soaring cost of college a 1,225 percent increase since 1978, nearly twice the rate of the rise in health care costs is such a problem for most families that politicians across the board are actually taking notice.Students study hard and try their best just so they can get an acceptance letter from their dream college.However, college tuition is not that affordable; college tuition is increasing in price every single year while the yearly salary of a father stays the same or barely increases.As of December 2009, the nation’s unemployment rate was at ten percent (Boskin 22-27).The unemployment rate for people ages twenty to twenty-four is fifteen percent (Dickler). This makes finding jobs extremely difficult for college students.In order to be financially comfortable in the 15th century a college education is a must.It is an everyday battle getting financial support from a college’s administration.
