Reaffirming the Tata group’s endeavour to engage with young minds and energize them, Tata Building India Essay Competition has been conducted for the 3 rd year in Hindi medium schools across North & Central India.
This successful initiative reached out to around 3.5 lakh school children over 565 such schools across 17 groups of cities– Ghaziabad, Gurgaon/ Fariabad, Rohtak, Delhi, Indore/Udjayan, Jabalpur/ Hosangabad, Gwalior/ Bhopal, Jaipur/ Jodhpur, Kota/ Kishangarh/Ajmer, Lucknow, Dehradun, Allahabad, Meerut, Patna, Jamshedpur, Jammu / Chandigarh, Amritsar/Ludhiana The theme for the 2009-10 edition of the Hindi essay competition was ‘Future India’ and the topic was - ‘What would you propose to the new government as priorities in the next 5 years for making India a prosperous, secure and strong nation’.
2015 at New Delhi and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them .
The cities were include: The 3rd edition of this competition in the Tamil language was launched in October, 2011.

The theme for the 2018-19 edition is “Lessons for Modern India from Mahatma Gandhi’.
and It is targeted to reach out to 600 schools in 17 cities-set of cities, The cities are: The 9 th edition of this competition in the Tamil language is targeting a participation of 250000 students across 14 cities and 500 schools in Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Guest for the evening gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners.
The essay entries of the winners from these 8 cities will further be judged with the entries of winners from 9 other groups of cities for national level recognition.
