Memories are a way of recalling ones personal experiences.‘Ways on conquest’ reflects the concept of this relationship between history and memory.It takes ‘conquest’ as its extended metaphor throughout the poem.We traveled from Florida to Washington in about five days.The alterations were hitting me so fast; I was all the way on the other side of the country and I now only have my dad.So you can imagine the agony I was going through, it was rigid.
