I too, started life as a small sapling and continued to grow. The development of roots requires time and dedication. Sunlight gives the tree energy, and water saturates the roots forming them deeply. We start off as tiny beings, and we begin to grow and depend on our roots.

Deeply formed roots are able to stand throughout all the effects and actions of nature/environment. Simply having a relationship with Christ stimulates root growth. Bending at fierce winds and standing straight rooted to its chosen place showcases a tree’s strength.

Since the dawn of time, trees have been part of the human life; not only of the human, but also of animal life, and the life of the planet. When making their own food, trees absorb free pollutants in the air.

It’s not really so hard to think that without trees life would be terminated at the blink of the eye. It is also during this process that trees absorb carbon dioxide—the gas we exhale and the gas responsible for global warming—and releases oxygen in return.

Rather than having striking beauty like a flower, trees have are grounded and possess a gentle beauty; they are adapted wildflowers to their environment.

In fact, if I had to compare myself to an inanimate object, I would choose a tree. Characteristics like relying on our roots, strength and observation, and helping others and leaving behind a powerful legacy are a few of the traits we share.

And that is one of the many advantages of planting trees.

A certain tree can intercept a thousand gallon of water when fully grown.

First, the roots of vegetations keep soil intact, preventing erosion.

When vegetation is also present, surface movement of rainwater is slowed down, giving water time to be absorbed into the soil.
